Holston House Nashville

THE UNBOUND COLLECTION BY HYATT · 1929 ART DECO LANDMARK · ROOFTOP POOL

Holston House Nashville, Downtown

Our verdict

A 1929 art deco landmark with a rooftop pool, a few minutes from Broadway.

Holston House occupies the former James Robertson Hotel, built in 1929 and on the National Register of Historic Places. It keeps the art deco character and adds a rooftop pool bar, which is rare for a historic downtown hotel. Rooms are compact, but you get history, a pool and a central location.

The atmosphere

“Art deco history with a rooftop pool on top.”

The building was designed by Marr & Holman and keeps much of its art deco character, mixed with what the hotel calls rugged modernism. Nods to Nashville's music industry run through the rooms and public spaces.

It feels relaxed and characterful, a historic hotel that doesn't take itself too seriously.
